We want to do good and create equality in the world.
Humanity
We are human to human. We believe that all people are equal. We treat each other, our guests and all the people we meet equally. We talk good of each other and to each other. We value difference. People have original thoughts. Everyone is welcome to us as they are. We also have strong views and we are happy to share them but we do not impose them on others.
Open-mindedness
We base our decisions and judgments on rationality and fairness. We delve into issues and discuss openly so that we do not form hasty or judgmental opinions. We are receptive to new knowledge and ideas. We want to explore the world without preconceptions. We keep what is valuable and reject what is worthless. We draw precise conclusions based on the information, but we leave our minds open in the event that we receive more information in the future.
Braveness
We dare to act in accordance with our values. We dare to voice our thoughts, opinions and ideas. We also encourage others to do so. We dare to fail and say we were wrong. LGBTQIA+ friendly
Klaus K is proudly a LGBTQIA+-friendly hotel, where every guest and team member from the rainbow community is welcome to shine as their true self. Creating a space where you feel safe, seen, and genuinely valued is at the heart of everything we do.
Equality and diversity are a core part of our responsible hotel operations. They are not separate initiatives, but values that guide our everyday work and decision-making. It is our honour to ensure that every guest feels welcome, and our team is continuously trained to meet everyone with openness, respect, and care – just as they are.

We Speak Gay
Klaus K Hotel is part of the We Speak Gay network, Finland’s LGBTQ+ community. Members of the We Speak Gay community are committed to inclusive rainbow communication and to actively promoting LGBTQIA+ inclusion. Companies and events within the network share a common language and work together to combat homophobia and transphobia, contributing to a more inclusive and safer society
WeCare
WeCare is about how in our daily operations we take care of people, the environment and profitability at the same time. This means that we cannot be profitable without caring about people and the environment. But we also know that we cannot care about people and the environment without creating profitability.

We will create possibilities for people both in and out of our operations. We will run hotels so that they have the smallest environmental impact. Nordic Swan
Klaus K Hotel is proud to have been awarded the Nordic Swan Ecolabel as of November 18, 2025, together with our Nordic hotel family.
The Nordic Swan Ecolabel is the official ecolabel of the Nordic countries and one of the most demanding environmental certifications in the world.
The Nordic Swan Ecolabel helps mitigate climate change, promotes the circular economy, and supports the preservation of biodiversity, quality, and safety. Its ambitious criteria consider all essential stages of a product’s or service’s life cycle — from raw materials and production to energy use, waste management, and recycling.

Sustainable Travel Finland
Klaus K Hotel is awarded with the Sustainable Travel Finland certificate. Sustainable Travel Finland (STF) programme provides companies and destinations with a concrete toolkit for developing sustainable tourism, which makes it easier to systematically adopt sustainable measures and choices into the everyday life of a region or company. The programme is free of charge and designed for all tourism stakeholders in Finland. Companies and destinations awarded with STF label have access to a continuous development model, the latest information on the sustainable travel development, marketing support, and additional visibility through Visit Finland’s channels.
We4you
In 2026, Klaus K is partnering with the we4you charity organization. The donations collected through this collaboration are directed specifically toward supporting children and young people with serious or terminal illnesses, as well as their families. You can make a donation when making a room reservation – just select "Donate: we4you" in the shopping cart.
The donations help make final wishes come true through three heartfelt requests, create unique moments for families to share, and leave memories that live on. Since 2013, the Finnish we4you charity has supported seriously and incurably ill children, young people, and their families — especially at the moments when support matters most. In 2024, as much as 96.75% of all donated funds went directly to making good happen, bringing joy, courage, and hope to families facing life’s hardest moments.
