Drag ❤︎ Club (pronounced Drag Love Club) by Klaus K is a new weekly after work club celebrating the versatility of Drag art. All people who love Drag are welcome to Klaus K's lounge on Thursdays from 5pm to 9pm.

Klaus K opens its doors to offer professionals and enthusiasts of Finnish Drag art a place to perform in the heart of our capital, right in the center of Helsinki. Spectators can enjoy a versatile and multitalented performances by professionals.

The club's music is curated by rotating Drag DJs who elevate the atmosphere throughout the evenings. At the club, you will hear interviews with both drag queens and drag role models, see performances by professionals as well as an Open Stage section, where anyone can perform in front of a supportive and encouraging audience with a low threshold to try out their new act for the first time.

Drag ❤︎ Club by Klaus K is hosted by artist and doctoral researcher Antti Taipale, who has performed for over 17 years as Drag artist Sheila. He is also known as the second founding member of the Helsinki Drag Battle concept.

"It's a great gesture from Klaus K's management to offer us Drags a place in the centre of Helsinki and enable the presentation of versatile drag art in the form of a recurring club. The very pointed comments of recent times need a counter movement and ALL of us Drags can participate in that. Together, in an empowering, positive and encouraging spirit, we strengthen the ranks and offer unforgettable experiences under the rainbow", Taipale sums up.
