Helsinki Week will be celebrated on 4. – 19.6.2011, and Helsinki Day traditionally on 12.6.2011.
Again this summer Helsinki Week, shaped around Helsinki Day, will offer citizens experiences and activities t suit all tastes. The versatile programme will be seen, heard and tasted all around Helsinki, from the city centre to more distant city sectors.
The good old festivals such as Pihlajamäki Goes Blues, the Festival of the Band of the Guards, Helsinki Samba Carnival and Les Lumières – Enlightenment Cultural Festival will take place this year too.
A newcomer to Helsinki Week is the Nordic Juggling Convention which is the largest and longest-lived juggling and circus event in the Nordic Countries.
Helsinki Day for its part means pulsating programme all over the place. A swinging Sunday around the city is in the offing.
Welcome to plunge yourself into Helsinki with us!
